Adela Frasineanu

Wiener Philharmoniker

 

Adela Frasineanu (* 1986 in Brasov / Romania) received her first violin lessons at the age of seven
at the music school in Nordhausen / Germany. In the following years she was a junior student at the university
for music “Franz Liszt” Weimar, the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin and the Hochschule für
Music and theater Rostock. In 2008 she moved to the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, where she studied with Prof. Igor
Ozim and graduated with honors in January 2011 from her bachelor’s degree. It was followed by a
Master’s studies with Prof. Benjamin Schmid, also in Salzburg, as well as numerous master courses at the
Professors Wolfgang Marschner, Zakhar Bron, Roman Nodel, Rainer Kussmaul, Ana Chumachenco and dem
Artemis Quartet.
Adela won first prizes in the national competition “Jugend musiziert” both in the solo and in the
Chamber music evaluation at the international violin competition “Queen Sophie Charlotte” in Mirow, with
the piano trio “Pia Vioce” at the Deutsche Bahn competition for young musicians and at the International
Chamber music competition in Interlaken / Switzerland. In 2009 she was awarded the 16th International Johannes
Brahms competition in Pörtschach / Austria also awarded first prize.
Concert tours with chamber music ensembles have taken Adela to many European countries, to Japan, and China
the cruise ship MS Europa 2 across the South Seas from Tahiti to Auckland. Orchestral experience
she won with the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, the Camerata Salzburg, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the
Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. Since
September 2014 Adela is a member of Wiener Staatsoper. In September 2017 the
Admission to the Wiener Philharmoniker and in September 2018 appointed section leader
the secondary violin group. Adela plays a violin by Lorenzo Ventapane, Naples 1830.
